Dear and Gentle Reader, there has been plenty of online chatter in regards to the now formal schism of the SSPX due to their consecrating four bishops yesterday, all of whom, along with the two consecrating bishops have incurred an automatic sentence of excommunication due to the lack of a Papal Mandate. Much of what I have seen has been sadness from many good and faithful Catholics.  Some of what I have seen is pure heresy.  There are some stating that Cardinal Fernandez, Prefect of the Dicastery of the Doctrine of the Faith, whose office issued the official statement of the sentence of excommunication and declaration of schism, is a heretic, therefore, anything he said is invalid. ...
